The wild boar (la. Sus scrofa)is very widespread in Croatia and lives in packs mostly around moist forests.
Weapons with grooved barrels are used for hunting, the minimum permissible grain weight is 8.20 grams, shooting at a maximum distance of 150 meters. It is also allowed to use a bullet from a hunting rifle with smooth barrels on a wild boar but at a maximum distance of 40 meters.
